Halloween Parade

We decided to march in the Halloween parade to try and win some money to use towards next years Haunted House.
There were ten of our actors who participated in the parade, we walked down main street dressed as some of the characters from this years haunt and gave a performance to those who were watching, a few of the actors jumped out and did some scares and others came in from behind,
you could tell, we were coming by the screams that echoed down the street!

We gave the parade watchers some exciting entertainment that you don't normally find at a parade, sure you have bands, dance groups and floats but, how many parades have you ever attended that had butchers, Zombies, a devil, a bride with a severed throat...and more, scare you while you were cuddled under your blanket with your family watching the floats go by?

That's what we did and it helped us win $75.00, just for having fun and doing what we love....
Scaring people and making kids cry!

Outside the haunt

This was the view outside the building with the fog from inside rolling out of the top and hundreds of people waiting to get in!The line circled around the building for hours!

Our scarecrow

Chris was our scarecrowWe applied a base coat of black on the areas where the fx mask would show his skin
Then using a generous amount of spirit gum, we applied the mask to his face and filled in the rest of his exposed skin with make up.

Here is the finished product!
Very bad looking scare crow!

And here is Chris in his scene!

Tonya's Makeup

Tonya's makeup
I used modeling wax to obtain the shape of the cut and filled it in with some cotton fibers for a gory effect!
I then filled it in with scab blood

and stippled the blood for a splatter effect, her make up is on heavy because she was in a dark, black lit room and lying in a casket.

I added some more cut wounds using paper towels and liquid latex.
